august catch-up

wow. this summer has been busy. i still can't believe that september is right around the corner. even though most years i am ready to welcome the fall, i'm not quite ready for summer to be over. and that's mostly because i feel like it went way too fast. it is, for the most part, due to the fact that i've been working 2-3 days a week the whole summer. it has definitely been an adjustment for all of us and one that i'm not sure i would ever get used to. we have gotten into a groove for sure, it's just not one that i'm willing to stay in for a long period of time. i am so glad to be able to help out at the office and to see what it's like and be involved. and, i really enjoy the work that i am doing. it's just hard getting caught up at home and being away from my boys. i am getting close to being done but for now will just keep on going strong! to all of you working moms: more power to you. i don't know how you do it.

our summer has been full of fun things, too! i've just finished updating everything else that i haven't been able to post throughout the summer. i've also been crocheting a lot more making flowers, headbands, necklaces, etc. it's been fun crafting and i hope to keep it up. anyway, enjoy catching up with me. maybe i'll be able to be more consistent with this blog after all of this.

one saturday afternoon we all took looong, much needed naps. after miles and i had woken up we came out to find travis and calvin asleep like this. apparently calvin chose to sleep like this; travis did not kick him off!

just a couple weeks ago we were apart of the crawfish festival. remember this last year? no parade this time but travis was at the booth all day and we were there as much as possible to help, too. calvin sat in his little chair and blew bubbles to draw some attention.

travis had his last birthday in his 20's! hard to believe he's getting so old!

getting pretty! i was painting my nails one morning and both boys were very interested and wanted theirs done, too. why not? don't worry, it only lasted a day. once a certain daddy got home we took it off pretty fast! gotta love the pink toes with the red baseball socks!

summer softball. travis played on a team with some guys from our ward. it was fun to go watch a lot of the games this summer and cheer on the team.

doesn't he look like a natural already?

oh yeah...did i mention his team won their division championship? t-shirts and a plaque! way to go guys!

just last night for fhe we took the boys to a local park and calvin and travis went fishing while i followed miles around doing this:

here's to a warm and sunny fall!

working and mom-ing IS tough...i'm glad you're getting the hang of it. i sort of thought it was a little fun once i could figure out my schedule. also, i really love miles' shorts around his bum in the last picture. cutie.

i like all the updates! Brady LOVES to push the stroller, the cart, basically anything around also.

I like the pinata picture of the 2 little boys! it is really cute. I need you to teach me how to make the flowers next time I am out there.
