we've been home for 2 weeks now and i am just getting to this. we did spend last week with my family in cascade, idaho for a family reunion so that's part of my excuse! more on that to come later....
so, travis and i were able to spend a fabulous 13 day vacation in france with his entire family. and, thanks to my sister, keri, we were able to go without the boys! we missed them and checked in on them daily but were able to really enjoy our first vacation without them since calvin was born. we went to celebrate 3 graduations in the family and celebrate we did! we spent a whole week just outside of paris and then the rest of the time along the coast of normandy. we had a lot of great family time, riding the metro into the city, eating lots of bread and cheese, walking and seeing the sites. there's so much i could write about and get into specifics but it would take waaaay too long. travis and i both loved the history and the museums that france offered. it was a wonderful two weeks together along with his family! thanks again rick and kari!
this is only 1/4 of all my pictures. enjoy!

9. WOW! your trip was BEAUTIFUL! i want to go NOW!
not like you wanted all my commenting but i'm glad i got to see your fun trip!
How great that you got away! Good for you! I would have been so nervous to leave for that long! Especially leaving Miles. What an awesome trip and great pictures! I want to go so bad!
finally, liz! the update i've been waiting for. :) you've been gone for a million years. it looks like you had such a fun time in beautiful france. i'm jealous of all the art and history and architecture you got to experience! i'm glad we could glean from your trip by seeing all your great pictures (good job, by the way). the ones of all of you jumping in front of the eiffel tower are hilarious. maybe someday i can get the details of your trip. welcome home!
p.s.: is kristen joking about you and travis showing your affection? she must be, because i can vouch that when you lived nearby us you two were all over each other. :) okay, so you were newlyweds, but still. as for us, we never show public displays of affection. our wedding video is proof...by the way, have we shown you that yet? come on over...hahaha. anyway, you two crack me up...and are still just as cute together as ever!
haha i just read janelle's comment... looks like the times have changed things. or paris changes things back... ;)
I'm obsessed with your pics.
Isn't it the most magical place you have ever been? ahhhhhhh.....
I'm obsessed with you too.
Bring the boys and spend the weekend with me. I have an extra room and bathroom and Calvin can share a crib with Trey.
These are awesome pictures!! This makes me want to go on vacation right now. well worth the wait. Hope all is well with all the changes going on with you guys.
ok i just tracked down your sisters blog to see pictures of your family reunion... i got sick of waiting to see pictures. and just so you know, miles is HUGE! he is going to be dating before you post more pictures of your boys! hello!?
my thoughts:
1. i've never seen more vacation food in my entire life, i love your family. your parents are so cute.
2. you look good with a fishing pole.
that' all.
holy jealous! we got a chance to go to paris for a few days, but WITH the kids...sort of kills some of the romance:) we can't wait to go back, someday.
congrats on the new practice and new house and new life!
