busy april. bring on may.

these first few pics are from our mini fishing trip early last week. trav and calvin fished while miles and i went for a quick jog and then watched them catch a couple fish while eating cheese and crackers from the car (while it rained). it was a fun outing and calvin was so excited to bring home 2 fish. here are the boys cleaning and gutting their fish from the day.

"mom, this is serious business"

1st annual easter egg hunt hosted by rick and kari.
big thank you to nana and papa for hosting a big easter egg hunt at their house for all of calvin and miles' friends. it turned out to be the best day of the year with temps near 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. with about 800 eggs, 70 friends and family, and pizza and candy you really couldn't ask for a better day. until next year!

after everyone else left nobody wanted to go inside. so we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the weather together. papa and the boys got in a little batting practice, too.

april also brought me just a little bit closer to 30. i am now in my late 20's, according to travis, and way closer to 30 than i feel. i had a great birthday and was spoiled by my boys, friends and family. thanks to everyone for making it a special day with phone calls, texts, cards, gifts, etc.
