i'm guilty. i love everything about the olympics. we've been watching as much as we can around here and when lindsey jacobellis got disqualified during the semi-finals last night, i may have cried. (good thing travis was gone playing basketball...) i've been trying to get the boys caught up in the olympic spirit and had them both wearing matching usa t-shirts on friday, the day of the opening ceremonies. i put on miles' shirt and started chanting "usa, usa, usa". calvin did not want to be left out so he wore a size 2T usa shirt the whole day-2 sizes too small. some nights, i let calvin stay up past his bedtime just so he can sit and snuggle with us while we watch. it's becoming a favorite activity of mine. so, in lieu of these couple weeks, here are a few of our olympic accomlishments.
and the gold goes to: calvin. for keeping miles occupied in his crib for up to 30 minutes after he wakes up from his nap so that i can finish getting ready for the day.
a tied gold to both calvin and miles for the "how many toys can we hide in the fridge before mom realizes its not food" category.
and the "all-around best candyland player" goes to calvin. no question about it. we play this game a lot around here.
gold for posing whenever mom pulls out the camera: calvin.

miles gets disqualified for not posing for me.
the gold for"having too many projects going on in one house". in the last 2 months i have painted my kitchen and front room, decorated and re-decorated multiple rooms, made a new family home evening chart and families are forever sign, and have plans to finish up painting our playroom/tv room later this week. oh, and i bought a new kitchen table. :) i will post final pics later. this picture isn't even what it looks like now.
gold for making THE best and the MOST fires in our stove: travis. and i absolutely love it.
can't wait for tonight. i get to take a class offered by the library on photoshop elements. i can't wait to learn (again) how to edit. and then i get to come home, snuggle up, and watch the olympics. yummy.

we love the Olympics too! I just wish they were on TV not so late! I saw Lindsey get DQ'ed also. so sad!

liz, you are a superwoman with all you're doing. i actually noticed in one of your pictures on another post that you had painted your walls, and i meant to comment on it, but forgot. your home looks beautiful! you've done a gorgeous job with everything. i wish i could come over and have an olympic party with ya. oh, and good for you for taking a time out and getting out to learn pse. i bought an online jessica sprague class in september and have been slowly learning it. as in, i'm on lesson 2. haha. i need your efficiency and producitivy. miss you!

That table is SICK! I love the the two tone look and the single chair at each end. Arent' home improvements addictive? It is so hard for me not to do them since we're in a rental.
