i can't believe i only took two pictures during the whole week we were in oregon! whoops! here is calvin with elder robinson. ashley (trav's younger sister) introduced k-rob to our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, almost two years ago. he studied and learned on his own and with the help of the missionaries down at OSU. after a few months, he decided that this church was the true church and joined. as is custom in the church, most young men at the age of 19 serve a 2 year, full-time mission. well, k-rob was 19 when he joined but decided he still really wanted to be a missionary. so, after waiting for year to go, he is now in the missionary training center preparing to serve in finland! k-rob has really become a part of this family. we are all so proud of him. i know that i look up to him in so many ways and i know that he is going to be a great missionary!! we love you elder robinson!calvin with the family dog, holly. anytime holly was around or when we went outside, calvin's eyes never left holly. he would follow her around wherever she went! as you can see, the idea of actually touching her was not as enticing!
this picture was taken of us rafting down the deschutes river in central oregon. it was amazing! this was down a class 4 rapid! yeah baby! this picture is worth clicking on to enlarge. trav is the one in the back right of the raft, almost out of the raft! you'll notice me with the leg up in the orange shoes. the other two on the front of the raft is trav's little bro taylor and k-rob.
