soccer mom.

calvin had his first soccer game a week ago. he's been practicing since the second week in august and loves playing. he was able to get on a team with one of our old neighbors who i don't think he thought he would ever see again! so he was happy about that. he has had 2 games now. last week was sunny, in the 80's, and pretty hot for these little boys. this week it was drastically different with rainy and cold weather. during his first game calvin played with a permanent smile on his face and especially loved keeping score and yelling it out to the bystanders every time the score changed! he really does love it and is pretty good, too. i'm loving this new phase of life. i do feel like a little soccer mom already since i volunteered to be "team parent". haha, i still laugh about it. all i need now is my mini van. i know it gets busier the more kids you have and the more sports they play, but i love cheering on my kids while they play sports. (maybe i should keep this to read in 10 years when i'm smack dab in the middle of it) go golden cougars!
