back at it.

january.

**remember how miles' birthday is the last real thing i posted? get ready for a major update.

my good friend janelle from my freshman year at byu came out to olympia for a surprise trip from her husband to visit alisa and i jumped on the chance to come up for a quick girls weekend. we stayed up late chatting and watching movies, slept in (no kiddos for me or janelle!), got pedicures and lunch and even made a quick trip to walmart. then i headed back home to be with my boys while alisa and janelle enjoyed a couple more days together. it was so good to see her and spend some time with two of my best friends. not only did we practically live together our freshman and sophomore years at college but we actually did live together the summer in between at home in kansas. we have so many memories together. it's hard to believe we've been friends for 10 years now! thanks to keither for making it happen!

haha, that's more like it. *note to self: try to come up with a new pose rather than always throwing out the gangsta peace sign.

**maybe one reason for the lack of posting is because i've been potty-training around here and by the end of the day, i'm worn out. miles took a little (ok, a lot) longer than calvin but i'm happy to say that he's got it down now. i know i'm an early potty-trainer, but it makes me so happy to

a. not be buying diapers anymore
and
b. not changing diapers anymore.

this i found on my camera. it was taken one night after getting miles ready for bed. he's still in diapers at night and insisted on still having undies on his little bum. and then, of course, he needed to wear his tie, too. duh.

**near the end of january i had surgery. long story, short: i lost a tooth playing football, got an implant, 8 years later the implant fell out, i wore a flipper* for almost 2 years, then had a gum and bone graft to try and make it better. it's still healing and i'm real hopeful. i'll keep you updated.

**sledding. we went with some friend up to mt. hood to sled. remember how in oregon we don't get a lot of snow so we have to go to the snow? it's kind of nice.

calvin=loving it.

this is kind of how we did it. one dad on the bottom with at least two kids on top. here's calvin with his friend tenley. i think he secretly wishes she was his sister.

calvin with best buddy cameron and his dad.

it rains in oregon. this is from my phone. one day i was trying to get out the door and asked calvin to get his coat and shoes on so we could leave. when we were ready calvin walked out with the goggles ready to go. it was pretty wet that day. smart kid.

february.

**we had a fun family date night on the saturday before valentine's day. we got dinner and ice cream. valentines day=heart shaped pizza, pink juice, homemade truffles and movie night at home. pretty dreamy if you ask me.

**alisa and ryan wanted a weekend away and asked if we would watch owen for them while they were gone. we quickly said yes to a weekend with our favorite baby owen. for the record, if newborns came when they were 14 months, i think i could definitely do 3.

*note to self: get rid of half of your bath toys. i think there's plenty.

owen got in on our daily rituals. here we're making mac n cheese while sitting on the counter. (also taken from my phone)

**travis' parents gave us two of their blazers tickets for a sweet date night. their seats include unlimited food and snacks. i don't think i can do an nba game without it ever again! thanks again rick and kari!
i'm pretty sure we set the record for amount of candy brought home from just two of us. pieces of candy=62

march.

**we headed up to olympia to spend the weekend with ryan, alisa and owen. it was our final trip up there since they're moving to minneapolis on saturday. we don't talk about it. i'm still in denial that they are leaving us. have i told you the good news, though? i may be losing a sister but these guys are moving here in may!

after our weekend with the harrisons we spent a day at great wolf lodge. it was a really fun outing and our boys LOVE that place. it's perfect for young kids.
miles getting a ride on dad's shoulders.

owen and alisa got to come for a few hours, too!

**spring break in utah. alisa and i had been talking about taking a road trip to visit my parents for a while. it turned out to be good timing since they found out only 2 weeks before that they would be moving so soon. it was a fun last hurrah for us and the boys. we loved spending time with grandma and grandpa and mike/liz and their boys. we got to spend time with old college friends, janelle and jenae, and their girls, took a trip down to provo, trip to tai pan (ok, 2 trips), cafe rio, bountiful rec center to swim, and the best day ever for calvin on st. patrick's day. the leprechauns were in full force leaving prizes and goodies for the kids all day long. calvin said repeatedly that it was the coolest, best day! thanks mom and dad for everything and for spoiling us! we love you!

janelle and her 3 girls, alisa, liz with miles and jenae with her new baby.

andrew, calvin, miles, owen, and amelia

calvin and miles thought it was fun to drive owen around in his high chair while owen happily continued eating.

oh, the road trip. 12 hours there, 12 hours back, lots of treats, lots of singing, m&ms, tears, movies, and potty breaks=a great week long adventure to see two of our favorite people!

**these i found on my phone and decided to make this post just a little bit longer! we've been able to watch holly a couple times while nana and papa have been out of town. my boys love it!

we took this picture last thursday before the big loss. what a great season to be a cougar fan! we love jimmer!

baking one day. calvin is my biggest helper in the kitchen.
whew. and that's it. i'm definitely going to be better at blogging again. this took way to long to update;)

ew, linds! yeah, i felt so bad your dad had to deal with that, haha. i don't think he'll ever babysit for us again! (or at least until all my kids are fully potty-trained)

So I know you will be proud of me for blogging again. yay me! But I am so proud of you and all your fun updates! Your boys are so handsome. Jackson walked up to the computer while I was looking at all the pictures and said, "Hey, thats my friend Calvin! WHy haven't I seen him lately?!" I agree, why not. I really wish we lived to closer, I know our boys would get along so well. Well, I love your stinkin' guts! Keep the updates coming. Oh and whats all this talk about Hawaii and why am I not going too. :)
