towheads.

september. i really don't know where the time went. remember the good ol' days when i was a good blogger? september was good and busy for everyone. travis was gone for half of it. a week after he got home from hunting he left with his dad and uncle to do cycle oregon. that probably deserves another post but with no pictures from travis this is probably the only documentation he'll get. needless to say, after an entire week of riding his bike (80+ miles/day) he was really tired and had one sore bum! what? it's true.

**while rick and travis were gone, kari and the boys and i tried to think of something to do on our own. thanks to kari, we headed up to great wolf lodge for a couple days and LOVED it. it's pretty much the coolest place for little kids.

haha, this next picture cracks me up! there was an arcade at great wolf and calvin really wanted to play. once he found out you got tickets for winning games and that with those tickets you could get prizes, he wanted to only play the games with the most tickets. kari and i were determined to help him with his goal and we both found games that we were good at that gave us the most tickets. kari was really good at "deal or no deal" and here she is showing off her big win of 100 tickets! ha! we were dying laughing because here we were, two grown women, trying so hard to win these tickets and then getting so excited when we won! oh, and don't worry about calvin. he wasn't sad that he wasn't playing any of the games. he just like collecting the tickets!
**alisa, ryan and owen were here for labor day. that was september, right? labor day morning we went on a great hike we found fairly close by. remind me to buy a hiking backpack for miles before our next hike, ok?

**anywhere we go i get at least one comment about my boys being "towheads". today an old man with white hair told me that they will look like him when when they get older because he was a towhead, too, when he was little. wonderful. i then came home and looked up the real definition of towhead. it has something to do with farming and wheat or something. i love that my boys are towheads.
**travis and i got to go on a real date. it was 3 weeks ago. we saw burn the floor downtown with some friends. i loved it. travis was happy for a night out. and i think he secretly loved it.

**uncle taylor left on his mission to brazil. these boys will change so much while he's gone. we're so proud of tay. he's going to be a great missionary.

** the only thing calvin tells me about school is what he had for snack. he tells me that he "just can't remember anything else".

**anytime he gets in trouble, calvin makes sure to ask if i still love him. he does the same when miles gets in trouble.

**brain dump finished. 10:30 PM is past my bedtime. goodnight.

Cambri is the same way with school--you'd think I'd get something more with her being a girl, but no.
