- we've been sick here. all 4 of us. calvin got it first and then miles did. as soon as calvin was getting better, trav got it. the day i finally got it was the same day miles decided that screaming through the night was far easier than sleeping through it, so any chance of travis or me to get better was gone. i am a tough love kind of mom, so normally i would be completely against this, but i found myself two nights in a row driving my sick 13 month old around in my car at very early hours of the morning to try and calm him down. thank goodness both boys are feeling better. travis and i are trying to.
- speaking of our boys, they are both getting big. seriously, if you haven't seen them within the last 2 weeks, they have both changed. they are just getting bigger and older. calvin is talking so much lately. we've had some tile put in our kitchen and a couple bathrooms so the last 2 weeks we've had a couple "friends" in the house all day. calvin can sometimes be shy but not with his "friends". he will check in on them regularly. "how you doin' guys? looks good guys. do you guys like scooby doo and batman?" i think he's going to miss his friends. miles is interacting with us a lot now and wanders around the house on a mission. but it's usually just to find something that fits under the oven, to throw the kid dishes out of the bottom drawer, or to take a toy away from calvin. he's starting to sign with us, too, which i love. he can sign "more", "all done", "thank you", "milk", "water", and "please". for some reason when he signs please he rubs his head instead of his chest.
- last night for family home evening our activity was playing basketball. me and calvin beat travis and miles by 1 point. living in a house of boys is fun most of the time.
- travis and i went to the symphony on saturday night. i felt very cultured. and young. we were at least 25 years younger than anyone else in the audience.
- i chopped my hair. if you are on top of reading my blog, you got the picture. if not, sorry! i feel weird having a picture of just myself smiling at the whole world wide web. but i am loving it. it was a good change. i am getting used to using less shampoo, taking less time to get ready in the morning, and not wearing pony tails.
- last but not least, spring is springing. we have a million of these throughout our yard. it is so cheery i love it.

there you go, you get a picture! look for pics from a very fun weekend with the harrisons. lots of fun cousin time with baby o.

Oh how I wish we had flowers like that here.. but nope.. still snow for us :(
WAHOOO FOR THE WEEKEND VISIT!! I am soo pumped and excited to see the boys...AND you and trav of course! Gosh I miss you guys!
I am not looking forward to being sick with little ones sick at the same time. I am just finally recovering after a week of nothing but work and sleep. What a good mom, driving around at 3 am! YUCK!
haha. i went to the "lover's" symphony in high school with my boyfriend and everyone around us was 85+ and older. so you're officially in the cool club with me. i'm writing you back...
WOW, he took you to a symphony? I had to beg and plead and beg and bribe my husband to take me to the ballet. If I ever mentioned the symphony or a broadway (which I have) I would get laughed in the face!
Way to go mom, such a trooper for the 3 am drives! I am a tough love kinda mom too but sometimes you have to make little exceptions!
