bowling extravaganza.

how depressing/exciting/historic is this year's tournament? i seriously feel more emotion watching the games than during most chick flicks. and travis definitely shows more emotion while watching than, well, ever. and i like it. too bad my teams are both out but now i can root for the underdog holding nothing back. come on northern iowa!

anyway, enough about basketball. last monday we took the boys bowling for the first time. who knows why it has taken us so long especially since travis and i both really like bowling. does anyone else have problems bowling more than one game because your arm gets tired? i can usually bowl a pretty good first game but will then be all over the place on game 2. travis knows this so takes advantage on the second game to throw his crazy curve/spinning balls and still kills me.

calvin loved bowling and was actually pretty good. surprised? he is trav's son. and miles loved watching. for about 10 minutes. we had a great morning together as our little family and taught calvin a new love. can't wait to go again. hopefully next time i'll beat my 3 year old by more than 2 points, though. just remember, he had bumpers!

first: coaching by dad from the sidelines.

let me show you how it's done. strike!

mom can coach a little too. see, proof i was there too.

alright, here he goes. good form just like dad.

watch for it, watch for it...

ta-da! what did you expect?

and the victory dance begins.

he's not competitive at all.

a) yeah, what the heck, kansas?
b) expected as much from the cougs on game 2.
c) LOVE the haircut, liz. you look hot.
d) my arms don't get tired by game 2 as much as my interest in it gets tired, so i just throw the ball down without any effort. but i can relate.
e) thanks for letting us share in your bowling fun. your family is awesome.
f) miss you.

Liz your hair looks so cute! even though I could only see it from the back. How fun bowling with the boys!

I can't believe it was the first time Calvin has ever been.

No Brady doesn't have red hair.. what picture made you think that? It is super blond.. sorry I bet trav was hoping it was red :)
