the vineyard.

wow. we spent a perfect day at martha's vineyard on saturday. i have always held a special place in my heart for mv ever since our friends, the hiers, first invited my family to come stay at their house on the island for a few days one summer probably about 20 years ago! i spent just a few more weekends with them over the years, the last being when i was 16. so, of course, martha's vineyard was on our "list" of things to do before we move. nothing like leaving it until the very end, eh? (thanks to aubrey for helping to remind me of some of the fun things to make sure to go and do!)

i only took a few pictures because kristen, landen, and sophie came along and i knew that kristen would be clicking away like crazy so i plan on using most of her pictures! but, i had to document a little bit on my point and shoot camera. it really was a beautiful day. it wasn't as hot as it was up in the city but very comfortable. we walked, took the bus, folded and re-opened strollers, reminded calvin to stay close, threw rocks in the water, searched for an open ice cream store, saw great sites, and ate good food, A LOT! by the end of the day we were all exhausted and i know we were all in bed by 9:00.

we are getting real close to the end and i'm glad we made sure to fit this into our schedule! thanks for coming along, tutt's, and spending a fun, memorable day with us!

this was kristen a lot of the day. across the street or somewhere 20 feet away from us so she could take some pictures! we love our personal photographer!

not a great picture, but a favorite memory of mine. america's oldest carousel.

and miles, our happy baby! he was so great the whole day.

and this one is from yesterday. we had the boys standing next to each other. calvin looks a little mad, but he was just very serious about his responsibility to hold miles' hand and to be the big brother! and, i thought i could add it because he is wearing his martha's vineyard t-shirt.

check back for some more pictures that kristen took! (i know she has a million to edit so who knows when that will be! no pressure, kri...)

That is definitely on our list of things to do to. You may have to send me a list of must do things.

You have a double-stroller! Ok, I obviously know you have had two kids now for a while, but I'm still letting it all sink in! You are such a cute family! And I love the pics!

I'm so glad that you were able to make it over there before you move. We were there last weekend too and I'm excited to spend most of the summer there. You and your family are always welcome to visit us there - sorry we didn't plan it for this year.
