knowing that we wouldn't be able to spend today with travis we spent all day on saturday celebrating by opening some presents and eating birthday cake. today calvin and i got to spend the entire day together doing whatever calvin wanted (ok, i had some input on what we did!) besides a 5 am wake-up call we also watched 2 of his favorite movies, played with lots of cars, made a trip to target and the park and took a really long nap. we then got to eat dinner with grandma and grandpa and have birthday cupcakes.
these are from saturday with travis. we spent most of the day in our pj's hanging around the house and playing with new toys. it was actually a really nice day as our little family. our little man opening presents...please pay no attention to the christmas wrapping paper. it's all i had! at least i turned it over and decorated the white side so it looked like birthday paper.

blowing out his candle. we had practiced a little bit before his birthday and he did a great job! i made him a car birthday cake that i got from my cousin michelle. he just didn't like that i used one of his real cars on the cake and made me take it off right away!

here's a picture just from tonight at my parents' house. we had a classic macaroni and cheese dinner and cupcakes to remember that today is calvin's actual birthday. as you can tell from the picture, we are still adjusting to the time change and lack of sleep. we tried to sing happy birthday with a candle and calvin screamed the whole time. "just give me my cupcake, already!"

happy birthday baby!
*halloween pics coming soon

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALVIN!! And congratulations Liz--you officially have a 2 year old!
Happy B-day Calvin!!! Liz...you are mother of a 2 year old....despite the grief that 2 year olds get...terrible twos, honestly 2 is one of my favorite years with my kiddos!!!
Wait a second...are you in Utah right now??
Happy Birthday to cute Calvin. Sounds like you had a fun day. I hope you are enjoying your vacation as well. Too bad we aren't a little closer and we could hang out. I hope you are feeling well. You are so stinkin cute as a prego girl!
Happy Birthday Calvin! Liz...the cake turned out awesome! Way to go! You are going to love age two! Not that we are that much further into it than you, but two is such a fun age. Jackson has definitely become my little companion and makes life a lot more fun and talkative while Marc is at school.
