summa time

first of all...thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone for your comments on the last post. both trav and i are very excited for our new addition to the family and we're trying to explain to calvin about a new baby coming. he'll be excited soon! so my due date as of now is january 16 but that's always up for change once we have the ultrasound. i'm kinda hoping it's a little later so that maybe we can enjoy a portland christmas. anyway, thanks to everyone for your love and support. i will definitely keep you updated on the pregnancy along with the usual calvin posts! as of now, i'm doing really well.

well, it is definitely "summa" time here, as they say it in "bawston" and we are trying to live it up. i have just recently (as in a few days ago) been feeling much better and have a new energy that i haven't had for the past couple months and it feels wonderful. i feel a little bad not being able to give my full attention to calvin all the time. i'm afraid he thinks he gets to watch Shrek every day, which will not be happening anymore! oops.

this summer is the official beginning of travis' 4th year of dental school and i can't even begin to tell you have excited i am for this last year. so far, i am really liking this no homework thing. as part of his program, trav is in an externship working in a clinic down in brockton which means he has the car pretty much every day. which also means for me and calvin? no car. good thing we live close to almost anything and anywhere we want to go. we walk a lot. A LOT. i have really enjoyed it and feel like i am actually in really good shape. but, i have to admit that i can't wait to have a car back in a few weeks! some days i really just want to go to target and walk around. we go to the beach and the park a lot. we go swimming whenever possible. the grocery store almost every day. and have lots of friends over to play.

ok, ok. enough writing. here are some pictures of a few of the fun things we've been doing. last weekend, with my new found energy, we followed some inspiration and went to ward's berry farm and picked about 7 pounds of strawberries. we came home and while the boys took naps, i made lots and lots of freezer jam. i would really like to tell you that because it is so delicious it is also really hard to make...but it is so easy! don't be scared of freezer jam. so, so good.

i also got ambitious and made a full batch of cinnamon rolls on monday. for those of you who know me well you know that i love baking. i love being in the kitchen creating and re-creating recipes. i gave some of these away but travis doesn't usually let me give away too many. so, if you can imagine, our freezer is pretty full right now.

last but not least...calvin is an official big boy now. he's doing really well in the bed and i think he really likes being able to wake up and come out on his own in the morning. my next goal is to teach him how to come out, turn the tv on, and get his own breakfast to give me a little extra sleep time.
