something to hold on to

the other day calvin and i went to babysit for a few hours for some friends of ours. a few minutes after we had been there, calvin discovered a super bowl balloon that they had and he ended up holding it the entire morning that we were there. as we were leaving, i'm sure my friend noticed his slight obsessive attachment to her balloon because she told him he could have it. well, 5 days later he has hardly let go of it! a few examples of where this balloon has gone: in the car everywhere we go, target, the grocery store, the mall, breakfast, lunch, dinner, he asks for it as soon as he wakes up ("dat, dat, dat" repeated as quickly as he can until he gets it), and on saturday night trav's cousin came down from cambridge to babysit for us and she said that she didn't have the heart to take it away from him so he even went to bed with it! luckily the helium won't last forever!

sorry for the crotch shot! he's totally cheesing, i love it!

I love this post! He is so darling! I love the balloon attachment, and that it has even been outside and in the car too!

Too Funny!

That is so funny! I love that he is so attached to the balloon and what a great mom to humor his and let the balloon tag along everywhere. I agree with Alisa, calvin is looking a lot older.

I love it. You are such a patient mother. I'm surprised he didn't have it in the pool yesterday to help keep him afloat.

We picked up a foil balloon for Aiden at the Dollar Tree store last week that he's been running around the house with for days on end. He "throws" it into the air (never mind that it's filled with helium) and yells "Wow, wow, wow!" over and over. Too funny how something so small can bring so much entertainment!
