it's been a while since i've written about just calvin, aka my baby! i always tell him that he's my baby and he laughs and says he's not a baby and that miles is my baby. but then i tell him that since he was my first baby i'll always think of him as my baby! now every once in a while he reminds me that we have something special because he's my first baby. love this boy.
calvin's a "no fear" child and is very confident in his abilities. a few days ago we had some really nice weather and spent almost the entire day outside. (**heaven**) at one point he said, "mom, i think we should take my training wheels off and ride my bike without them now". so we took them off, took a few tries with me holding the back and then he was on his way! he still needed help starting and stopping but after this weekend of pretty nice weather, he's now a pro!
last night for family home evening travis was talking to the boys about the importance of families working hard and each member's individual roles in our family. he asked, "why does dad go to work everyday?" calvin immediately replied, "so that mom can buy clothes." ha! it was so funny and gave trav and i a good laugh.

what is particularly funny to me about his video is that travis has to run all crazy to make sure calvin doesn't fall over. it was cracking me up:)
alissa- that's my favorite part, too! there were better parts that i wasn't allowed to post to the internet because he looked so crazy running around. haha!
That is awesome! Way to go Calvin! We took the training wheels off of Jackson's bike a few weeks ago, but haven't had much time to practice, this inspire's me to get out there! :)

Glad to see you back at it. We are working on teaching Payton to ride her bike. I think boys just get it faster! Sometimes I wish I had two boys......

Although.. Rich and I were cracking up watching Trav run all over the place.. good job saving calvin from that truck too. Next time trav maybe some tennis shoes would work a little better than your slip ons :)

Liz~ First of all, your boys are too cute!!! As far as the tonsils go (I just read your note on my blog) DO IT! It's a week and a half of stress, but now it's over, and I know we made the right decision. Plus it turns out that her tonsils were infected! My poor kid could have been living with a chronic sore throat her whole life, and we never even knew it! Have fun with your boys! Always good to hear from you!
way to go calvin! for some reason i think sophie might be in her 20's before she has enough guts to do something like that. hopefully cal will rub off on her this summer!
...and i bet he did so good because trav was wearing a jogging suit.
