9 months.

we are staying home today because, guess what, the rains have started. it's funny because out here everyone asks, "what are your plans before the rains start?" and then i guess we just hunker down?! not really, but i'm going to have to be creative this winter. i'm not about to sit at home for 6 months:) calvin is sick-ish so we're here trying to blow noses while drinking lots of fluids and taking in a healthy dose of lightning mcqueen. (it seems to usually work) it's a good reason to have a good catch-up day since i feel like it's been a while since i've gotten different things done, i.e. really cleaning my house, finish laundry, clean out my fridge, wash sheets...you know the drill.

on my list of "to do's" is to blog as it seems to get at the bottom of my list more regularly than not. i have to document miles and his big 9 month mark. i still can't believe how much faster the time seems to go when you have 2. here are just a few pictures and some things that make miles, miles.

• can really move but somehow still refuses to actually crawl
• can and will pretty much eat anything we put on the tray with his favorites being grapes and ritz crackers
• loves his brother calvin and gets so excited to see him
• horrible sleeper. what's the deal?
• 2 upper teeth with 2 bottom on their way
• sucks on bottom lip and usually has a permanant red mark from all the sucking
• will pull himself up on anything. his preferred position is standing.
• when he gets excited he moves his head from side to side really fast
• "he's loud", according to calvin

we're so happy and lucky to have him in our lives. even though we are exhausted because of him, i can't imagine our lives without him. happy 9 mo. baby miles.
