amber weekend.

another great, fall weekend here in boston! like i said in an earlier post, i was able to have yet another great friend from byu (and other family connections!) come stay with us. i loved having amber here. it was just like the good old days throwing out our arsenio hall fist pumps, sharing old stories, and laughing at how goofy we are when we get together! although, it is very clear that we are getting older when we spend more and more time talking life, politics, and kids instead the new cute boys in the ward, where the good party is, or how much money we spent on a shopping trip. oh wait, that last one still happens!

anyway, thanks for coming to play amber! i miss you tons and wish we could only see each other more often. i hope you have a picture or two of us together on your camera because i have zero. the only pictures i do have are from our sunday night cookie decorating party, which is pretty much inevitable when we get together. so, here are a lot of pictures from one very fun-and funny-night.
the group showing off their cookies while decorating. this is just the beginning... (we loved having amber's freshman roommate katie and her new hubby here, too!)
we, of course, had to vote on the best cookies. what would be the point of decorating without deciding who made the best looking one? and, as you can see, we were all very serious about it.

some of the works of art we were voting for...i would just like to point out that travis ended up eating almost all of what he frosted. the only cookie he submitted for judging is the very lonely, white pumpkin with only one pumpkin candy on top.

and the winner is....andy, with the meouch cat cookie. (yes, we named all the cookies) click on picture for a better look. i think he was pretty excited about the win.

and this one is mostly for alisa and alissa. amber made a pumpkin which ended up with a crooked mouth. does it remind you of someone else we know who talks out of her crooked mouth??

and these crazy dudes thought it would be fun to put the pumpkin candy in their eyes just like this fellow pumpkin friend of theirs...enough said.

and for further details on how amber and i are related...please feel free to refer back to my previous post from my dc getaway while visiting her home here.

yay! so fun -- i need to update too. on the flight back to DC, i got really freaked out, thinking i didn't have any pictures of the two of us.

upon review i found only one: the arsenio hall celebration pic. yikes.

we'll have to do better next time!

love you :)

Just a warning for the potty training..if it isn't clicking don't push it. It can actually end up taking much longer if you start too soon. (we're talking peeing the bed til grade school kind of long) I wish you all the best. I know two in diapers is a little much but one in diapers and one standing in a puddle is much worse.
