on monday morning kristen decided that she was finally going to join me and be my walking partner on my morning walks. (which, let's be honest, i haven't been doing much of lately) so, by 8:30 we were out the door pushing strollers along the beach. after walking for a while we decided to make a stop at the park and let the kiddos play. it wasn't long after that we started to notice the clouds rolling in and we decided to quickly pack up and get on our way so that we wouldn't get caught in the storm. long story short, let's picture the two of us running in the rain trying to make it home as fast as possible only to stop at a random house onto their covered porch to stay out of the massive downpour we had just found ourselves in. we waited it out for a few minutes and then decided to keep going after putting both sophie and calvin in my jogger since it has a rain shield. i'm sure we looked crazy as i was pushing one stroller with 2, crying kids and kristen with an empty, wiggly umbrella stroller racing in the pouring rain to get home as fast as possible! it was so funny.
all four of us were completely soaked so we threw the kids in the tub and while sophie's clothes were in the dryer, she got to wear some of calvin's clothes. look at kristen's ghetto child! it was pretty funny so see her in some boys clothes but it was nice to get a flower back in her hair again!

Isn't it eye opening when friends leave town and all the sudden you realize you have NOTHING to do? That is an alarming feeling. Like, I know I functioned fine before knowing them..hmm....
Way to get into the city and make some memories. Calvin looks displaced at the frog pond though, I think that boy needs a surf board and some stellar waves.
