c.a.m.p.i.n.g.

friday night we went camping with the tutts and wildes. it was a perfect night with LoTs of food and great company. we decided to go close-by since this was the first time any of us had been with kiddos just in case we might need to leave in the middle of the night. let's just say that when travis and i woke up in the morning, we weren't sure if we would see kristen and landen or not! we are glad that they toughed it out so that we could spend the next morning with them!

calvin was such a geat camper! he loved being outside and especially loved being in the tent. his favorite activity was going on "hikes" which consisted of leaving our small campsite, walking around to the one next to us and cutting through the trees back to our site. right when he got back from one of his hikes he would take the hand of whoever was closest to him and say "hike". we put our tent up and then k + l put theirs up. it was pretty funny to compare the 2. that's ours on the left. don't worry, we were nice and cozy (and surprisingly comfortable)on one of our hikesgood thing i was there or we might not have had a campfire

what would i do without these girls? kristen, liz, jennie

calvin and sophie had fun wrestling in the tent! they just kept giggling the entire time! what funny kids!

it was a fun night with some great friends! we did all of the classic camping musts like tin foil dinners, s'mores, campfire, bug spray and the 5 hour nap the next day! next time we may just have to convince kristen and landen! (just for the record, sophie did really well except for when it came to sleeping and she was sick!)
